How is my donation used?
Every gift becomes flexible fuel for church-led response. Instead of fixed percentages, each response is prayerfully directed with trusted local churches toward the most urgent needs on the ground — food, clean water, emergency supplies, shelter, cleanup, and long-term recovery.
How do I donate?
Donations are processed securely through our official Charitable Impact campaign. Click any Donate button on kingdomresponse.com to give online in less than a minute.
How does my church become a partner?
Reach out through the church partnership form at kingdomresponse.com/#join or email hello@thykingdom.net. We start by listening, then build a practical response plan together and help resource your church to serve your community — before, during, and after a crisis.
Do you replace local churches or charities?
Never. We believe the local church is already there, already trusted, and already positioned to serve. Our role is to empower local churches — not replace them — so help arrives faster and stays longer.
Can I volunteer?
Yes. Volunteers are a vital part of every response. Join the roster at kingdomresponse.com/volunteer, or share Lincoln-specific details at kingdomresponse.com/lincoln-flood-cleanup. We coordinate opportunities with local churches and response partners as they are safe and ready.
What should I include when I join the volunteer roster?
Share the clearest information you can: how to reach you, your city or region, availability, skills, transportation or equipment, and whether you can bring a team. This helps local churches and established response partners call on volunteers who fit a real, safe opportunity.
Should I go directly to a flood-affected neighbourhood to help?
Not unless a local coordinator or official guidance has invited you. Flood recovery can involve closed roads, unsafe structures, contaminated water, limited access, and work already being coordinated. Joining a roster first helps make your willingness useful without adding pressure to affected neighbours or responders.
Can a small church prepare for disaster response?
Yes. A small church does not need to become a relief agency to be ready. A first-call leader, a care list, a communications plan, relationships with nearby churches, and a clear way to coordinate volunteers can make a meaningful difference. Start with the free Church Readiness Check.
How can a church host flood volunteers without becoming a base camp?
Name what you can actually offer — bathrooms, parking, a briefing table, meals, or a limited staging room — then appoint one host leader. Brief volunteers on safety, dignity, and where they may not go. Keep affected neighbours first, and send extra willing people to the volunteer roster instead of into the neighbourhood uninvited.
