Don't you have a saying, 'It's still four months until harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
It's easy to treat that verse as poetry. It's harder to ignore it once you've stood in a city park and watched dozens of people walk into a baptism tank in the middle of a Saturday. The harvest Jesus talked about isn't a metaphor waiting for a better decade. It's happening, now, on ordinary streets in Ontario.
This article tells that story plainly. Every number here comes from the ministries' own published reports, linked so you can read them yourself. And it ends with an invitation, because none of this was ever meant to be watched from the sidelines.
How did it start?
In 2014, Daniel and Katie Ziedins began Love on Hamilton: practical love, prayer and Gospel conversations on the streets of their own city. As they tell it, it started with two people, coffee, and a question.
Twelve years later, that has grown into 20+ weekly outreach teams of ordinary believers who now go out on their own, every week, a citywide festival, and churches learning to make evangelism normal. The full story is in Twelve Years on the Streets.
What happened at Jesus Festival 2026?
On September 4 and 5, 2026, Jesus Festival Hamilton filled Gage Park with free worship, the Gospel, food and family fun, and drew a record turnout. According to the festival's own recap, early reports from the weekend include:
- 70+ people gave their lives to Jesus
- 50+ baptisms, held in the middle of the park
- 3,000+ free hot dogs and drinks served to the community
- Altar calls on both Friday night and Saturday, and many reported healings
- The first year of Jesus Festival Niagara, with the City of Niagara Falls lighting the Falls in yellow, the festival's theme colour
One person came up out of the water saying, "I was lost — who would have thought Jesus led me here!" That sentence is the whole point. Heaven doesn't celebrate attendance. It celebrates names.
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
How far has Love on The World reached?
What began in one city became Love on The World, a Great Commission movement helping believers share the Gospel, make disciples, serve communities and multiply outreach groups. Today it lists 12 city groups across Ontario and New Brunswick, most meeting every week, and prays for 36 nations by name. Its impact page tells the whole timeline.
And the goal isn't to stop at twelve. The latest mission, Evangelize.World, is to help establish 100 multiplying outreach groups anywhere and everywhere in the world. Groups that start groups. Believers who train believers.
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
Why does a disaster-relief site care about evangelism?
Because it's the same mission, seen from a different week. Every flood guide on this site says the same thing: the churches that help fastest are the ones that already know their neighbours and already know each other. Weekly outreach teams and a city that worships together in a park are exactly how that trust gets built.
We wrote about that in When a City Worships Together, It Responds Together. A street team that has prayed on the same corner for years is the first to know who needs help when the water rises. Relief and evangelism aren't two ministries competing for attention. They are one love, showing up in season and out of season.
What is SIX33, and why does it matter here?
Not everyone will ever walk into a church or a street outreach. But nearly everyone wears something, trains for something, and follows a story. That's the ground SIX33 is being built to reach.
SIX33 is a Christian lifestyle and performance culture brand, coming very soon, whose name comes straight from Matthew 6:33. Its heart is to impact culture for the Kingdom: seek Jesus first, live with purpose, pursue excellence and give God the glory. And a major part of that heart is raising funds for Love on The World's street-level outreach, so the culture work keeps feeding the harvest work.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
SIX33 is in pre-launch now. If that stirs something in you, the Inner Circle is the way in before the first drop.
How can I partner in what comes next?
Daniel and Katie serve in partnership with e3 Canada, equipping believers to evangelize and establish multiplying churches. Monthly partners are what turn a single great weekend into a decade of fruit. We unpacked the biblical case for that in Plunder Hell, Populate Heaven: the ones who send share in the reward of the ones who go.
- Pray by name for Daniel, Katie, their family, and the teams they train.
- Become a monthly partner through their official e3 Canada page.
- Start or join a group. Find one near you at Love on The World, or start one through Evangelize.World.
- Watch for Jesus Festival 2027. Dates aren't announced yet; updates are at JesusFestival.ca.
- Join the SIX33 Inner Circle at SIX33.World and help take the message into culture.
- Follow the story at KD-Ziedins.com and share it with one person who wants their life to count.
A multitude no one can count
Every outreach night, every baptism in a park, every new city group, every T-shirt that starts a conversation is a small down payment on a promise. John saw how it ends:
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.
That's what plundering hell and populating heaven looks like in the end: not a strategy deck, but a crowd too big to count. The fields are ripe. Open your eyes, look, and then decide what part you'll play.
